Our Commitment
Pixly is committed to ensuring our platform is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
1. Measures We Take
- All images include descriptive
alt attributes (and Pixly's core purpose is helping merchants do the same). - Colour contrast ratios meet WCAG 2.1 AA minimums (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
- All interactive elements are keyboard-navigable and include visible focus states.
- Form inputs include associated labels for screen reader compatibility.
- We use semantic HTML elements (
nav, main, section, button) for assistive technology compatibility. - SVG icons include
aria-hidden="true" when decorative, or accessible labels when functional. - The site is responsive and usable on screen sizes from 320px upward.
2. Known Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance, some areas of Pixly are still being improved:
- The image review dashboard contains complex drag-and-drop interactions that may be difficult to navigate with a keyboard alone. We are working on keyboard-only alternatives.
- Some third-party integrations (Shopify OAuth, Shopify Billing checkout) are outside our direct control and may not fully meet accessibility standards.
3. Compatibility
Pixly is designed to work with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers: NVDA (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), TalkBack (Android)
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- High contrast mode (Windows)
Supported browsers: latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
4. Feedback & Contact
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of Pixly. If you encounter any barriers, please let us know:
We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days and to resolve reported issues as quickly as practicable.
5. Formal Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the relevant national accessibility authority:
- Australia: Australian Human Rights Commission — humanrights.gov.au
- European Union: Your national Data Protection Authority or equality body.
6. Technical Specification
Pixly relies on the following technologies for conformance with WCAG 2.1:
- HTML5
- CSS (Tailwind CSS)
- JavaScript / React (Next.js)
- WAI-ARIA roles and attributes where native semantics are insufficient
